Nutmeg geranium ~ Pelargonium fragrans
Nutmeg geranium is a dainty wee thing with soft grey-green leaves which bear small white flowers with pink veins. It doesn’t like the cold much so make sure if you’re planting it out in the garden that it will still be in full sun during winter. If you do have particularly cold winters grow it in a pot (or hanging basket) and bring indoors during cold spells. If your summers are hot and dry give it partial shade. Don’t let it dry out completely but it does like to be on the dry side. Not half fussy is it??!
Despite my efforts to confuse you it is actually an easy plant to grow, the most important thing is protecting it from the cold. If you like your Pelargoniums it’s a lovely one to have in your collection.
