Hoo-ra!  Hoo-rah!  My friend Glen Elliot MNIMH MNZAMH whom has been a practicing herbalist for many years has returned to New Zealand from Scotland with his family.  I gave him my herbs (Chamomile and Yarrow) to try and give his opinion and he’s given me the total thumbs up for their quality, yaeh!!

dried yarrow, achillea millifolium

Dried Yarrow

I felt sure they were top quality from looking at their colour compared to other dried herb products I’ve seen but really wanted to get a second opinion and by someone whom knows what they’re talking about and will give me their honest opinion; aka, Glen!!  Good timing to come home Glen, thank you!

Chamomile, german

No labs were involved so it wasn’t a potency test per se but was a test that herbalists instinctively do when presented with a herb, they check for colour, smell and taste….

Here are his words….

I have had the pleasure of sampling Achillea millefolium and Matricaria recutita from Stoneyground Herbs. Both were of the highest quality dried yarrow and chamomile samples I have seen. The plants have been carefully harvested and expertly dried to retain important botanical constituents, and this is evident from the colour and aroma of the dried herb and the aroma, colour and taste of the infusion. It is fantastic to know I can source such excellent quality, locally grown organic style herbs.
